Takumi’s AE86
*Responsible for modeling and texturing.
From the anime Initial D, I modeled Takumi’s car using Modo and Blender. I intend to finish the interior to complete the model but the windows are blacked out for now.
Takumi’s 86 ages proportionally to his growth as a touge racer. I tried to encapsulate how his car might have looked towards the end of its life. It features scratches from his deflecting off the guard rail in season 1 along with red paint from Shingo’s car hitting him mid-drift. I also added the carbon fiber hood featured in the last season.
*Responsible for Posing, Lighting and Rendering
When exporting from Substance, I made the mistake of having opacity along with other channels on a single texture set. This made it difficult to shade correctly in Unreal Engine.
Sci-Fi Pistol
*Responsible for modeling and texturing. Design by Michael Pavlovich
Built with Z-modeler and some other hard-surface ZBrush techniques. Used Houdini SideFX Labs for generating low poly and uv’s.
Suit Up Sequence
*Responsible for all aspects including concept, modeling, lighting, animation
The suit-up sequence in Iron Man can be credited for my interest in 3D. I created this project as a school assignment and a small humble tribute to the 2008 film.
Working on this, I learned the importance of establishing the scope of the project early. I lost critical time modeling insignificant and unnecessary detail that could have been better used for animation, lighting, post, etc.
Victorinox Watch
*Responsible for all aspects including modeling, lighting, animation
This was made in the leading weeks up to working at SharkNinja. I wanted to experiment with Meshfusion while also rendering a product showcase of sorts.
